About the Place
Welcome to Eat Rice, where your cravings meet comfort and quality. Nestled in the heart of the community, this family-owned Chinese restaurant has carved out a reputation for its affordable prices and diverse menu offerings. With a commitment to freshness, Eat Rice delights patrons with dishes that evoke the warmth and charm of home-cooked meals.
While not every dish may achieve culinary stardom, the overall experience often leaves diners with a sense of satisfaction. Customers have lauded dishes such as the strawberry smoothie and chicken dumplings, both of which have been described as bursting with flavor and quality. Jamie Henson’s observation of occasional inconsistency in taste juxtaposes neatly with Nitheesh Chand’s five-star review, highlighting both the allure of comfort food and the occasional challenge of nailing down taste expectations.
The atmosphere? It embodies a classic family-owned charm. Frequent patrons often encounter busy staff members, who manage the hustle and bustle of the kitchen with a touch of friendly chaos. In Andrew Rigler’s words, it’s a spot defined by its “great prices” and “good food,” and these sentiments resonate with many who have spent time at this local gem.
If you appreciate value without sacrificing quality, Eat Rice may just become your go-to destination. Families, friends, and even those simply seeking a reasonable meal in a world of rising food costs find solace in the meals served here. Among the more notable mentions is how generous portions often leave diners satisfied and eager to return, as Noah’s experience showcased when he mentioned the free food on a visit—a lovely gesture that fosters community and connection.
Visit Eat Rice and let your taste buds revel in the flavors of homemade Asian cuisine. Whether you’re looking for a quick takeaway or a cozy spot to share a meal with loved ones, you’ll find it here—where each dish tells a story, and every visit feels like returning home.
“ Always nice and prompt, I've never had the wrong food or anything missing after 6 years of ordering here. The food is sometimes bland and sometimes tastes like it sat for a while. But the service is always phenomenal. ”
“ ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Tried Eat Rice today and it did not disappoint! The strawberry smoothie was absolutely amazing – super refreshing, creamy, and full of flavor. I also ordered the chicken dumplings and they were excellent – perfectly cooked, juicy, and packed with taste. The quality and freshness really stood out. Definitely a spot worth visiting if you’re craving great food and drinks! ”
“ Was it the best chineese food ever? No, BUT it was good and was CHEAP. You can't even get McDonald's for what we just paid for a good quality meal. ”
“ This is pretty much the quintessential family owned Chinese restaurant. With this comes many caveats you must accept as a customer. Is the service going to be friendly and helpful? Possibly not, they have been in a hot kitchen all day and are very busy. Is there going to be a kid doing homework behind the counter? Probably. Is the food gonna be a really good value and be tasty? Yes. To address other reviews on here, these are my thoughts: Sometimes the customer is right, sometimes not. I've seen a few claiming that they serve raw chicken, but the photos I've seen look cooked. Dark meat chicken that is brined is going to have a somewhat reddish color, and areas near the bone are going to have blood clots that leave color even after cooking. It can be hard to tell, just use your best judgement. If the meat is pink and gooey, that is worrying. If the meat is dark red and seems a consistent texture with the rest of the meat, it should be fine. In my experience I have never had this issue. ”
“ I love this Chinese restaurant. They have great prices , food is good, and they have smoothies unlike most Chinese restaurants. Not much space to eat in there , and they are often very busy. I would definitely recommend trying this place if you like Chinese food. ”
